New Jaguar Type 01 Electric GT Debuts with Over 1,000 Horsepower

Jaguar has unveiled the new Type 01, an all-electric luxury Grand Tourer that combines bold styling, advanced technology, and exceptional performance.

The Type 01 features three electric motors, with one mounted at the front and two at the rear, producing more than 1,000 horsepower and 1,365 Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds, making it one of the most powerful vehicles in Jaguar's history.

The vehicle is equipped with a battery offering 118 kWh of usable capacity and an advanced 850-volt electrical architecture. Its estimated driving range reaches approximately 644 km under EPA testing, while DC fast charging at up to 350 kW can add around 321 km of range in just 13 minutes under suitable conditions.

The exterior features a long bonnet, low roofline, and streamlined body, complemented by slim headlights and large wheels measuring up to 23 inches. Advanced aerodynamic elements help improve efficiency and stability at higher speeds.

Inside, the Type 01 offers a luxurious four-seat layout, featuring a 24-inch OLED driver display and additional screens for comfort and infotainment controls. Premium materials and advanced digital features enhance the cabin, including a camera-based rear-view system that replaces a conventional rear window.

Built on the dedicated Jaguar Electric Architecture (JEA) platform, the Type 01 also features adaptive air suspension and advanced handling technologies designed to balance dynamic performance with long-distance comfort.

Orders are expected to open in early 2027, with the first customer deliveries planned for the second half of the year.
